The honest version: this started as something I made for myself.

I kept the water out so nothing got watered down. I kept the batches small so I could watch over every one. And I kept going until it was, in my opinion, the best clay mask I'd ever used.

Made to need less. — Water is what makes most formulas need a heavy preservative system. No water changes that equation — so we can keep the formula short, clean, and close to its raw ingredients. Less in the tube that doesn't need to be there.

Over 80% honey. — More than four-fifths of this tube is raw honey — bush and Manuka. The rest is glacial clay and green sea-caviar, and very little else. A short list of things we're a little obsessed with, and nothing we wouldn't put on our own skin.

No water. Ever. — Most masks are mostly water — it's cheap, and it fills a tube. We left it out entirely, so what you're getting is the full strength of every ingredient, undiluted. Nothing watered down, in the most literal sense.
